Go Your Own Way

This is working out very nicely. Out of the frustration of the inability to post a blog or make a comment on the old dying horse (Yahoo 360), I am actually having fun again.

I am not trying to recreate what I had there – I think that would be foolish. You can’t expect to recreate something unique, but you can start fresh. I never expected to have friends come around right away… that’s just an added bonus. But I have the desire to write again without the pitfalls that began to plague the old place.

I do miss some of my 360 friends (the ones who are not already here), but some have already visited and one very special friend who I have not heard from in a long time has even stopped by. Very cool.

Like a good relationship, there is no specific expectation, there is no pressure, but there is the satisfaction of knowing something is right and working.

This is working for me.

Yay
.

Even though we both felt that we would be with 360 until the end (or revisioning), this has been a welcome kickstart (and reminder) to what calls us to write.

I'm curious how you're liking the independence, and choosing your features for your blog. I love the freedom afforded by the indie blog, it makes things even more fun. :)

Well, as you may have noticed, one of the first things I did was to create a "Blogger Family." I am a social creature - that is my nature... but I do like the ability to choose how I set up my page, I like not being tied into something where lonely ladies from the Philippines or disembodied male appendages are asking for an invitation to my page. I am not sure how that translates to independence, but as the blog says, this is working for me.

Yep, so far, so good. I'm still learning how to navigate around this place, but am enjoying the change of scenery.

Indeed! I actually feel a sense of contentment with this site. I love how they automatically save your blog while you're in the middle of typing it... No more endless hours of typing a blog only to lose it seconds later.

I'm starting to notice more features as I browse your page and Dave's page. For example, I saw your links to other pages and I did the same... I love being a part of family. Also, I like the visual bookshelf and flixster things on Dave's page... I would like to do that... Then there's the photo book thing. So, more to look forward to in the future. But, I'm happy with it all now, so all is well. :-)

Okay...so if I open an account here, I'd actually have to write. Not a happy thought for me right now. I get nervous thinking about it, dear one. I'm sweating at this moment. (sigh)

Maybe when my life clears up a bit..there will be something exciting and interesting to share. I think I should, at least, try cuz I miss you, kinda. Rob, too...but not so much. LOL And how much Naked Twister can I play with Wolfy? (tee-hee)
